Admissions Procedure

Certificate Programmes offered through distance education mode follow the same admission procedure as those offered in face-to-face mode by AKU-IED. Programmes are announced by the Office of the Registrar AKU-IED by mailing letters of invitation to cooperating schools, advertisements on the AKU Website and the OL Website and by sending out emails to a mailing list of participants who have expressed an interest in any one or all of the offered Certificate Programmes.

These announcements/advertisements provide a deadline of approximately one month for prospective participants to complete the registration/application forms and submit them along with the necessary photocopies of academic documents. Short listed candidates, based on the entry requirements for that programme, are contacted for an interview by an interview panel. Finally, placement letters are dispatched to those participants who are selected. On receipt of a signed offer letter indicating acceptance, the participant is registered or admitted to the Certificate Programme. The entire process takes approximately three months.
