"I met a teacher in a workshop who had come from a remote village of Sindh. She was working as a health coordinator in an NGO working in the education sector with focus on school health education after completing the certificate course in Health Education from AKU-IED.

Open and distance education programme of AKU-IED has made a major contribution in developing teachers (especially female) in remote areas in Pakistan in initiating and sustaining health education projects."
