School ImprovementThis course is designed to help course participants develop an in-depth understanding of the concepts, processes and contexts of educational change, school improvement and school effectiveness and the relationship between the two. In addition, the course intends to develop an appreciation of the role of various educational stakeholders. A particular focus of the course will be on the relationship between teacher development and school improvement. Efforts have been made to use literature, theory and cases from both the international and local contexts relevant to the course participants/ students. Course Participants (CPs) will be encouraged to critique the literature as well as use the theories and frameworks presented to them to examine and recommend school improvement initiatives suitable to their own context.
